Vocal & Performance Coach with 30+ years of teaching, recording and performance experience.

TEACHING:

Vykki is a veteran instructor with 20+ years of teaching experience and also brings over 30+ years of performance and recording experience. She is the owner/operator of a private voice studio and was the Director of Voice Instruction at a local music school for 9 years, hiring and overseeing 20 voice instructors with many different singing styles and professional training. Vykki studied voice with the late, great vocal coach, Dante Pavone, who was sought out by the greatest singers, actors and performers of our time. The list includes such singers as: Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Patti LaBelle, Steven Tyler, James Taylor and Peter Wolf. He was renowned for being one of the first who emphasized a deeper understanding of the physicality of singing. Vykki's music pedagogy/theory education has continued consistently throughout the years in various forms, including a high-intensity Boston Conservatory training course.

Vykki’s personal passion for voice instruction has sparked a true dedication to her students of all ages and backgrounds. Every lesson is customized to the needs of each individual. Her modern method and vast experience has provided a proven track record of amazing results for so many over the years.

Although Vykki truly loves working with younger children, and has nurtured many very young students through to their adulthood, she has found an equally special bond working with teens and adults of all ages that tend to be under-served in our music schools. While there are many extremely talented music teachers that focus solely on classical training, Vykki's modern method is more suited to those seeking an alternative practical application for their current music goals.

She co-founded and served as Director of the Boston Chapter of CSN (Chick Singer Night), an international showcase benefiting music/arts programs in local schools for 7 years. CSN continues to offer young female artists, including many of Vykki's students, the opportunity to perform with professional musicians in various professional area venues.

She also founded, co-produced and hosted the Ladies Sing TV series, showcasing New England artists for many years. And continues to support upcoming artists, including recently being a guest judge for the Young Performers Club in Boston. Look for the upcoming new video series soon, featuring Vykki's students as well as other colleagues and their students.

PERFORMANCE:

This powerful, dynamic singer/songwriter and teacher has a wide range and a refreshing style all her own. Vykki brings her “radiant personality and flare for fun” to the stage and to her students’ individual growth.

A veteran instructor and student of the late, great Dante Pavone, Vykki has toured nationally, fronting her own band and has shared the stage with such international acts as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Indigo Girls, Les Paul, Max Creek, Jonny Lang and Susan Tedeschi.

Vykki's 3 records have generated airplay and rave reviews across the globe. She co-founded and served as Director of the Boston Chapter of CSN (Chick Singer Night), an international showcase benefiting music/arts programs in local schools, for 7 years and remains an active supporter. She also founded, co-produced and hosted the Ladies Sing TV series, showcasing New England artists for many years. And recently was a guest judge for the Young Performers Club in Boston.

Vykki’s personal passion for voice instruction and her dedication to helping grow her students' performance experience, has become her main focus in recent years, but she still performs periodically as a special guest and with her bandmates.
